The first half of the book is dealing with weight loss surgery, setting goals, and exercise. All great things to know, but I wanted a cookbook as I am 3 years post-surgery. I guess my big problem is that it is labeled a cookbook, rather than a post surgery guife.
The recipes sound good, but a lot are high carb. When my physician is keeping me under grams of carbs, even a low fat mac n cheese won't cut it if a serving has 78 grams of carbs! A lot of recipes are really high in carbs and calories. Most of these recipes I could never eat and my nutritionist would never approve them. Nov 16, Karen L.
